This might just be the premier sushi spot in the city, renowned for its consistency, exceptional service, and unfailingly impressive cuisine. The star of the show is undoubtedly the tuna salad at Sushi Neko, a dish that's absolutely essential to try. Featuring exquisitely seared tuna encrusted with sesame seeds, crisp on the outside yet tender and raw within, it's arguably the finest tuna experience available. The dressing complements the dish perfectly, enhancing every element of the salad.
For a duo dining, the ideal meal would consist of two servings of the tuna salad, complemented by a shared specialty roll filled with fresh raw fish.
Previously, my sushi orders were limited to California rolls, bento boxes, and the like, leading me to prematurely judge a restaurant's quality. This was a reflection of my limited experience. The key to truly appreciating a sushi establishment is to focus on their signature, most acclaimed dishes.

I've consistently been impressed with the quality of this establishment throughout the years. The fish is always fresh, making it my go-to spot for salmon nigiri cravings. The sashimi portions are generous and delicious. To my surprise, their pork ramen also perfectly satisfies on a chilly evening with its rich, well-balanced broth, succulent smoky pork belly, and a generous array of toppings. For those who prefer cooked to raw, the Volcano and Red Canyon rolls are flavorful options. A special mention goes to Andrew for his excellent management and friendliness. The service staff is remarkably attentive. From the dining area, you can watch the sushi being prepared, adding to the vibrant and cozy atmosphere. I wholeheartedly recommend this place for a reliable sushi dining experience.

I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of this sushi spot, especially given its location in the land-locked city of OKC, OK. Choosing a seat at the sushi bar, which I believe is a must for any sushi aficionado, turned out to be an excellent decision.
The service was outstanding. The sushi chefs were not only skilled but also incredibly engaging. Spending a few hours there, I had the opportunity to meet staff from Thailand, Japan, Burma, and China – a truly remarkable experience. If I were a resident of this city, this restaurant would be a regular haunt for me. Despite the bustling atmosphere, the sushi bar offered a cool respite. I'm definitely planning a return visit!

I finally dined here tonight and completely forgot to snap any photos! Likely because I was too engrossed in savoring the delectable dishes.
Thanks to our reservation, we were seated immediately without any wait, and conveniently browsed the menu on our phones, which I always appreciate.
I enjoyed the peach fuzz mule, which was quite pleasant, but the "fizz" cocktail with gin was my favorite by far—deliciously flavorful without the overpowering taste of alcohol, just how I like my drinks.
For starters, we opted for calamari. With four of us at the table, we were amused by the surprisingly small serving presented in a ramekin dish, especially for $15, prompting us to order another. It seemed overpriced for the size.
My choice for the main course was the miso salmon accompanied by rice. The salmon was flawlessly cooked, served with a bean paste that initially seemed unusual to me. However, pairing it with the rice and salmon turned out to be an incredible combination, so much so that by the meal's end, there was hardly any paste left. It was a perfect blend that I wouldn't have imagined.
The others opted for sushi, which they thoroughly enjoyed. The rolls were sizable and visually appealing. As a salmon lover myself, I found the taste to be excellent.
Another notable recommendation from our friends was the fried rice dishes, known for their generous portions and tastiness.

Making a reservation is strongly advised.
The sushi and service here consistently impress, especially considering the challenge of being in a landlocked state. I've been a loyal follower of Neko since 2011, though my visits are sporadic due to my travels across the country.
The prices lean towards the higher side, yet the quality of the food justifies the cost. I'd suggest trying the yellowtail special and the Lady Love roll if you're after fresh fish options. It's understandable, yet a bit disappointing, that there aren't more fresh roll choices, given the geographical constraints.
However, I have to deduct a point for the outdoor seating experience. Encountering flies and other insects is expected, but their overwhelming presence during my visit (as evidenced by the photo I took) forced me to retreat to my car with my meal.
The restaurant should either address the fly issue or reconsider using this seating area.
